Setting Designer Tab Access Permissions

Limit access to each tab in the Designer by using the "Access" option at the bottom of the designer.

Each tab of the Designer can be limited to selected groups using the Access accordion at the bottom of the tab.

  1. Open the Designer
  2. Choose the Tab you wish to limit access to (Page, Architect, Theme, Menu*)
  3. Go to Access at the bottom of the tab
  4. Enter the name of the group(s) you wish to restrict access to. (Click to add)

*The Menu Designer Tab is accessed by opening the Designer while on a menu architect page.

In keeping with best practices of assigning rights by GROUPS rather than individuals, Theme Press only allows limitation of access by groups. The advantage of providing access by groups is that it's easy to add or remove a team member from a group without having to change the permissions of the group. In addition, the rights for members of a group are kept consistent.

If using:
