Setting Designer Tab Access Permissions

Limiting access to the different areas of the Theme Press Designer.

Each tab of the Designer can be limited to selected groups using the Access accordion at the bottom of the tab.

Open the Designer.

Choose the Tab to which you wish to limit access (Page, Space, Theme).

Go to Access at the bottom of the tab.

Enter the name of the group(s) to which you wish to restrict access.

Click to add.


In keeping with best practices of assigning rights by GROUPS rather than individuals, Theme Press only allows limitation of access by groups.

Advantages of providing access by groups:

  • easy to add or remove a team member from a group without having to change the permissions of the group
  • the permissions for members of a group are kept consistent

If using:
