With the pre-formatted advance styling of Rich Links, content details are "pushed" to a page from another linked page. (This can greatly enhance the user experience, adding contextual information where it's needed, without weighing a page down unnecessarily.)

When a Rich Link is displayed on a page, Theme Press looks for the following information from the linked page:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Image
  • Space name
  • Space icon

For tight control over rich link content display, it's advantageous to create a first block on the destination page that is hidden and will be used ONLY for a rich link, but will otherwise be invisible to users. In addition to the Meta Properties check box being selected for the block, also set the Initial Display to collapse.

If there is no block with Meta Properties selected, the content will be found according to the following scheme:

If using:

  1. Replace me with something to note about this how-to entry that falls outside the scope of all other sections; and
  2. Add the tight-bottom class to the Steps block above to narrow the gap between the two blocks.

1. Creating a Block to Manage Rich Link Content
For tight control over rich link content display, it's advantageous to create a first block on the destination page that is hidden and will be used ONLY for a rich link, but will otherwise be invisible to users. In addition to the Meta Properties check box being selected for the block, also set the Initial Display to collapse

If using:

  • Replace me with something to note about this how-to entry that falls outside the scope of all other sections; and
  • Add the tight-bottom class to the next visible/non-collapsed block above this one to narrow the gap between the two blocks
