How Targeted Search Works

Targeted Search takes the idea of labels and extends it. You groups Confluence's basic search functionality and supplements it. While Confluence can do advanced search on various fields, Targeted Search allows users to maximize that functionality with integrated filter search. Confluence results can be narrowed down by certain fields, but with Targeted Search Filer Groups, the search result process is expanded to resemble the online commerce searches familiar to most users. Additionally, custom Targeted Search macros allow advanced search functionality not available with out-of-the-box Confluence.
