You're team is using Confluence to create, organize and discuss work. Great, but, it has one basic problem: it isn't very pretty. Out-of-the-box Confluence's Default Theme is functional, but not aesthetic. And it matters! Research shows that visually consistent and well-branded sites are more engaging for users–and that translates directly to more consistent use and improved productivity. Uninviting and uncomfortable sites often go unused.

How Theme Press works

You assign Theme Press as your Confluence theme (in place of Default Theme), and then manage multiple themes. Customize and match themes to organization or departmental needs.

Theme Press sits on top of your Confluence instance and manages the display of each page as it's built. Based on your design decisions, it creates consistent and visually appealing pages. Theme Press inserts the necessary CSS and HTML directly into your page code as the page is generated. You make the design decisions and the app does the behind-the-scenes work.

Theme Press gets you up-to-speed fast and easy. With one click, you can create a new intranet space, complete with example pages to explore and modify.

Theme Press is an app for creating on-brand beautiful themes (applied site-wide or by space), transforming your existing content and making new content creation easier and more consumable. Additionally, it is a per-page design app, offering highly customizable consumer-grade design functionality.

The app uses easy-to-edit template pages that define and format page elements, including options for header, footer, and banner areas. These pages can be copied, renamed, modified, and used as formatting alternatives, for an entire space or on a page-by-page basis.

How Theme Press works

Theme Press gets you up-to-speed fast and easy. With one click, you can create a new intranet space, complete with example pages to explore and modify.

The app uses easy-to-edit template pages (called architect pages) that define and format page elements, including separate ones for the header, footer, and banner areas. These When it's installed, Theme Press creates your Theme Press Default Space. This space holds architect pages that define the format and elements of your pages, including separate pages for the header, footer, banner, and layouts. These architect pages can be copied, renamed, modified, and then used as alternatives to your formatting formatting alternatives, for an entire space or on a space or page-by-page basis. Menus are also defined by architect pages, and both the menu style and options choices can be modifiedeasily customized.

Page Layouts are especially versatile, allowing you to change your content display With Theme Press, you have a page (a layout architect page) that defines the structure of your content display. You can change the layout from a single content block (the Confluence default) to a layout whatever combination of blocks, columns and layers that works best. Layouts can include pre-configured or dynamic content that helps users build consistent and useful pages. Using the Page tab of the Theme Press Designer, users can control  suits your content best. With the readily available Theme Press Control Panel, users can define what page elements are visible in the layout, such a as breadcrumbs, ; page title, ; likes & labels, etc; etc.

Layouts can include pre-configured content and structure so that a user's new pages are consistent with existing content. Using pre-built and easy-to-use code tools (macros), pages can dynamically include pre-labeled content from across your site in real time. Other macros can do everything from basic formatting to advanced searching–all without knowing code or programming–allowing users to build out rich pages and content easily as they grow more comfortable.

The Theme Designer lets Designer lets you engage in theming--working with color palletspalettes, fonts, and logo placements--to visually design pages that best reflect your company's brand. Getting started with Theme Press

When you install Theme Press, you'll automatically get the Theme Press Demo Space and Theme Press Default Space. Your Platform Administrator can do the basic configuration of setting up permissions and making sure Theme Press is set as your default theme.

Then, you can get started. With the Theme Designer you can create a new theme to match your company brand with correct logos, fonts and colors. Working with the Architect Pages in the Default Space, you can redefine the menus and structure your pages.

Use the included Theme Press Macros to build enticing pages with dynamic content.

Add social features, such as likes and comments, to encourage community and engagement.
