The publish date is a special metadata field provided by Content Flow that can be assigned to a Confluence page. Out-of-the-box Confluence automatically assigns two dates to every page: the creation date and the modification date. However, these dates do not always reflect the needs of the content. In particular, for pages that serve as news articles or official missives, the creation and modification dates may not meaningfully convey when something was announced or took effect. The publish date does not have any bearing on the visibility of content or notifications, and it cannot be searched. It is to be used with the Page Metadata Macro for on-page displayAdd definition/concept description here. |
