Working With Blueprint Maker
Blueprint Maker allows you to use existing pages, page trees, or individual pages as templates to help your team build and contribute content for scale.
Installing/Enabling Blueprint Maker
A site administrator can install and enable the app by:
- Navigating to "Confluence Administration" cog (upper right)
- Selecting "Add-ons"
- Selecting "Find new add-ons"
- Searching for "Brikit Blueprint Maker"
- Selecting "Free Trial" or "Buy Now"
Creating Blueprints
Two different types of blueprints can be created with Blueprint Maker: space blueprints and page blueprints.
- First, create the space or page that will become a blueprint
- Once this is done, you will follow the steps to populate the .json file for:
- Creating a Space Blueprint
- Creating a Page Blueprint
Configuring Blueprint Maker
A site administrator can configure the app by:
- Navigating to "Confluence Administration" cog
- Selecting "General Configuration"
- Selecting "Blueprint Definitions"
Use of Blueprint Maker
The app can be accessed by users (with the appropriate permissions) by:
- Navigating to the "Blueprints" option in the Confluence menu.
- A blueprint of the user's choice can be selected.
When using Blueprint Maker, make sure to select the "Blueprints" menu item, and not the "Create" menu item.
