A block-level option for decreasing page load times, by specifically targeting blocks containing slow-loading content.

When pages contain complex blocks of content, it can sometimes be beneficial to render the content after initial page display, in order to improve page load times.

When this setting is invoked, rather than rendering block contents with the initial page load, a second call is sent to the server to then render the selected deferred-content block.

If using:

  1. Replace me with something to note about this concept that falls outside the scope of the Definition section; and
  2. Add the tight-bottom class to the Definition block above to narrow the gap between the two blocks.
