Lists of words that represent concepts and entities in a domain

A taxonomy is a collection of terms (words), each of which represents some part of a domain or enterprise.  Taxonomies are commonly used to label documents in a given domain.

Individual terms in a taxonomy are often grouped into categories that represent a particular aspect or facet of the domain.  This categorization gives shape and structure to the entire collection of terms and is itself part of the taxonomy.

Example of a simple taxonomy:

Brikit Targeted Search makes it easy to build and maintain a taxonomy for your site. Terms are represented by filters, organized into groups that you define.

  • Replace me with a link
  • Aim for 4 or fewer related links.  If we need more, that's okay.  Be judicious.  Delete me when you're done.
